What is Wordela Homeschool Vocabulary Program?
Wordela Homeschool is a vocabulary learning program designed to help kids of any grade level (and also adults) learn new words. The app uses advanced technology, including a huge database of over 520 million words in context, so that kids can learn new words quickly and remember them better. Wordela Homeschool offers a variety of practice options and allows kids to track their progress and gain levels so they’ll be motivated to keep practicing. Because the interface is easy for students to use independently, Wordela Homeschool is an easy way to help high schoolers practice their vocabulary list.
Wordela Homeschool is created by eReflect, the same company that created the typing app Typesy.

Wordela Homeschool for Homeschool Vocabulary
As a busy homeschool parent, I am always looking for the best way to make learning easy for my kids. I love the way that Wordela Homeschool takes all the planning and work out of teaching vocabulary in homeschool!
When parents sign up for Wordela Homeschool, they will get access to 4 student accounts as well as tracking information. It took just a couple of minutes to go into my admin page and create a user account for each of my kids. I could set a username and password for them, or allow Wordela Homeschool to generate one automatically. And, our Wordela Homeschool account came with up to 4 student accounts, which means that everyone in my family can learn at their own pace, with a unique list of words that are the best fit for them.
When each of my kids logged in to their account for the first time, Wordela Homeschool asked a few questions about their goals for the online courses and created some custom suggestions of words to start with. Then, they could choose from the recommended word lists or from the ones that I had assigned to them. This is a great way to help them stay focused on the list of vocabulary words that complements our homeschool language arts program.
From the admin dashboard, I could see how my kids were doing in their vocabulary lessons at a glance. I could also create a class and assign my child to it, which allowed me to create custom word lists or assign suggested lists for their grade level or for test preparation for the SAT, ACT, or other standardized tests.

Why We Love Wordela Homeschool Vocabulary Software
Wordela Homeschool vocabulary software is an easy and fun way to teach vocabulary in homeschool, especially at the high school level. Here are a few of my family’s favorite features of Wordela Homeschool, that make it great for homeschooling.
Customized for Each Child
Each Wordela Homeschool account includes 4 student users, which means that with one Wordela Homeschool purchase, I can create a unique login for each of my kids. This also means that I can customize the extensive vocabulary options to match each child’s needs.
Wordela Homeschool’s AutoLearn™ Technology is a fantastic feature for homeschool families. This innovative AI technology customizes the word list and practice questions based on each child’s skill level. As my kids are practicing, the AI will keep track of which specific words my kids know and which they do not, and it will add extra practice with unfamiliar words. This is like having a tailored quiz session designed just for each child!
As a homeschooling parent, I appreciate how this feature keeps my kids engaged and challenged while addressing their specific learning needs. This makes Wordela Homeschool a great vocabulary curriculum choice because my kids can focus their time on words they need to practice, and lessons will be a right fit for their skill level every time.
Learn Words in Context
One of the things that really makes Wordela Homeschool unique is the way that they help kids learn words in context. The app includes a database of over 520 million words in context so that kids can see just about any word they are studying used in a variety of different sentences.
When kids learn words in context, studies show that they will understand the word better and remember it more easily. As a teacher, I love that Wordela Homeschool incorporated this research into the design of the app so that my kids can learn vocabulary even more quickly and effectively.

Great for Independent Readers in Middle and High School
Wordela Homeschool is an excellent vocabulary resource for independent readers in middle and high school. It’s perfect for kids who can read on their own and want to expand their vocabulary.
Wordela Homeschool also includes in-depth definitions that go beyond simple explanations. For example, when defining the word “arbitrary,” the definition included words like “discretion” and “caprice” to help kids understand decision-making and unpredictable behavior. Kids will likely learn vocabulary not only from the words but also from the definitions.
I love that Wordela Homeschool is easy for older students to use independently, without needing much help from a homeschool parent. It gives them the freedom to take charge of their vocabulary learning and learn advanced vocabulary words that will prepare them for success on standardized tests, in college, and in their future lives.
Easy for Busy Homeschool Parents
Wordela Homeschool is a great tool for homeschool families because it makes it so easy to include vocabulary practice in our homeschool day. I love that I don’t need to do any lesson planning or preparation for my kids to be able to use Wordela Homeschool. They just open the app and they are ready to learn. As they work through their practice time, the app creates a customized practice session based on which words they already know, and which words they need to review.
I also love how easy it is to create custom word lists for each child. I just created a class for each of my kids, and now I can use the dashboard to create custom word lists for them. This is a great way to personalize the app for younger children, or create lists that match my kids’ current interests. I can even align their vocabulary practice with words they need to build their reading comprehension in books they are currently reading.
I also love that this comprehensive tool eliminates the need for grading as well. My kids get instant feedback as they go through the lesson. And, I can see their progress at a glance from my parent dashboard.

Vocabulary is an important part of many standardized tests, including the SAT and ACT. This means it is especially important for high school students to build their word knowledge as they prepare for these standardized tests.
I love that Wordela Homeschool provides additional resources for students who are preparing for standardized tests with the program. Targeted word lists for a variety of standardized tests are included, so all I had to do was choose a list that corresponded with the correct test and assign it to my child.
In addition, classes with video lessons on learning skills, time management, and productivity can help teach our high schoolers important life skills.
