Online Homeschool Electives with Allschool
Recently, I was looking for a fun change in our homeschool routine. My kids had been sick and it had been raining, so we were stuck inside for several weeks in a row. Even though we were inside, I wanted my kids to have a fun experience and learn something new. That’s why I was so excited to discover Allschool. Allschool offers a wide variety of live interactive classes and online homeschool electives that are perfect for kids to be able to learn from home. Read on to learn how your kids can get started learning with Allschool.

I received compensation and access to classes from Allschool in exchange for my honest review, but all the opinions in this post are my own.
What is Allschool?
Allschool provides live and interactive online classes for preschool through high school students ages 3-18. Small class sizes make it easy for kids to ask questions and get feedback from teachers. Allschool offers a wide variety of online courses covering lots of interesting topics.
For homeschool families, classes from Allschool are a great way to supplement an existing homeschool curriculum. Families can also use these classes as elective courses, rewards at the end of a unit of study, or a fun way to extend a child’s learning experience with a unique learning opportunity.
How to Get started
Getting started with the elective options from Allschool is so easy for homeschool families. All parents need to do to get started is to choose a course from one of many available subject areas. The website makes it easy to filter the course listing options by age and grade level, subject area, or date.
The courses are offered through an e-learning platform called Classpod. This makes it easy for families because all we need to do is log on to the Classpod software before the live classes begin. Classpod includes both video and audio options so kids can interact directly with the teacher.
One unique feature of Classpod is that it does not include a chatbox. I think the lack of a chatbox helped my kids focus better on what they were learning during the class. I did not feel like a chat box was needed, because the teachers did such a great job of asking questions to make sure that my kids were understanding the material that was being presented.

Online Homeschool Classes on Allschool
One of the best parts about Allschool is that it offers so many different classes, covering different subject areas. It was easy for me to find classes that would help my kids explore the topics they are interested in right now.
Special Seasonal Classes
If you love to celebrate holidays in your homeschool, or you’re just looking for something that matches the current season, Allschool is a great resource. We enjoyed the Spring Break special classes and were able to take a class about bunnies right before Easter. Now, Allschool has a variety of Summer special classes that will be perfect for preventing the summer slide.

Animal Lover
One of my favorite things about Allschool is the way that I can customize our class choices to match my kids’ current interests. My daughter loves animals, so of course, the animal lover classes are perfect for her. We enjoyed a class about zoo animals that was taught by a zookeeper! My daughter was so excited to meet a real zookeeper and I love that my kids got to ask questions of an expert.

How to Use Allschool in Your Homeschool
Supplement Your Curriculum
Sometimes, it helps my kids to be able to learn the same information in a variety of different ways and from different teachers. They learn better when information is repeated. That’s why I love classes like the math tutoring that’s available on Allschool. Kids can learn a variety of topics, like how to divide fractions and negative integers, from experts who explain these topics in ways that make them easy for kids to understand.
Add a Homeschool Elective
Another fun way to use the classes on Allschool is to supplement kids’ learning with a unique educational experience or an independent study. You can choose a topic your child is interested in, or find some live online classes that correspond to your homeschool lessons.
We are currently studying China in our history lessons, so a class on Chinese culture would be the perfect supplement for us.
Subject areas covered on Allschool include core subjects like language arts, math, science, and social studies. Kids can also study world languages, coding video games and computer programming, fine arts and music appreciation, and much more.
High schoolers can participate in high school electives including SAT math test prep, English grammar, digital photography, and more.
Make Learning Fun
Because my daughter loves animals, I was excited to find so many animal classes on Allschool that she could enjoy. She was especially excited about Journey to the Antarctica Desert because she loves penguins and wants to learn more about them.

Features of Allschool for Homeschool
There are so many reasons why we love Allschool’s classes in our homeschool. Here are a few of our favorite features of Allschool.
Variety of Classes
As a homeschool mom, I love that Allschool provides so many opportunities for different subjects we can add to our homeschool program. I always love to follow my kids’ lead and choose class topics that they are interested in, and Allschool allows us to do this while we learn at our own pace.
Each class description includes reviews for the class and the teacher. Because each class and each teacher is unique, reading the reviews helped me find classes that would be a good fit for my kids’ learning styles.

Unique Opportunities
Many of the classes on Allschool give kids an opportunity to explore topics and have experiences that they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. From learning a foreign language from a native speaker, to practicing physical education with a fun dance class, to exploring possible future careers, Allschool provides unique opportunities for kids.
I love that my kids have these incredible opportunities from home!
Flexible scheduling
As a busy homeschool family, one of my favorite parts of Allschool is how easy it is to add classes to our homeschool schedule. The classes on Allschool are single sessions, which means they are a great option to add whenever you’re looking for something extra. I also love that kids can learn at any time during the school year.
No prep required
I love how easy Allschool makes it to use the classes. The only thing we needed to do was log in to our Classpod software when it was time for the individual courses to begin. I appreciated that my kids could participate in unique and diverse electives, and I didn’t need to do any extra planning or prep work for my kids to participate in the online homeschool courses.

Independent Learning
Allschool offers so many online learning options that kids can complete independently. I love that my kids were able to sit at the kitchen table and complete their Allschool classes all by themselves and that I was free to work with another child or get something done around the house while my kids were still learning.
We discovered that it’s important to make sure that your child feels comfortable with the technology that they are using before starting their lessons. We tried our Allschool classes on the computer but discovered that my son is more comfortable learning independently on a tablet with a touch screen. Some of the classes don’t require any computer skills at all, while others may require your child to be able to use the mouse or to interact with elements on the screen.
Interactive
One of the best parts about Allschool is the small class sizes and the wonderful opportunities that kids get to interact with the teachers. In our experience, all the teachers we had on Allschool were fantastic with my kids. They were so patient with my son who wanted to ask lots of questions, and they made sure that my shy daughter was enjoying the class and participating as well.
I love that the teachers were constantly asking questions and checking to make sure that my kids were understanding the topics they were learning. The interaction with the teacher was my favorite part of Allschool, and I think that this is the most valuable part of the classes.
Age Appropriate
Since my kids sometimes struggle to pay attention to online classes, I was interested to see how they would respond to Allschool. It was apparent right away that the teachers on Allschool are masters at making online learning fun and engaging for kids. The lessons were age-appropriate and the teachers had no problems holding my kids’ attention and focus through the whole lesson.
Each class includes a suggested age range, which makes it easy for homeschool moms to choose online homeschooling courses that are a good fit for their kids.

Interesting
I love that even though the classes that we tried on Allschool were designed for preschool and elementary-aged children, they still taught lots of detailed information. During our dinosaur class, we studied different kinds of dinosaurs. I love that the teacher was able to share some new facts that even my dino-obsessed son did not know.
The zoo animal class was fascinating for my kids and for me too. Did you know that giraffes have purple tongues so their tongues don’t get sunburned? This was just one of the fascinating facts we discovered during this class.
Motivational
Another way that the Allschool teachers kept my kids focused was through a motivation system that happened during all of our classes. Kids could earn stars during the class for answering questions or remembering facts that they had learned. My son is very competitive, and so he was excited to try to earn as many stars as he could during the class.
Affordable
Allschool classes are very affordable for homeschool families. Right now, Allschool is offering up to $20 off the price of a class so you can try their classes for free.

I highly recommend Allschool to any homeschool family that is looking for fun and unique learning opportunities for their kids. Allschool is the perfect way to make homeschooling fun.
